Let Me
Introduce Myself
I'm M.B. (Mert) Galloway, retired from the auto rental business and
have been interested in Motor Sports my entire life. Motor Sports
have changed very much since I was first involved. In 1951 I was the manager of a used car
outlet in Daytona Beach for Ben Jessup, a Georgia State Representative and a Chrysler/Plymouth dealer in Cockran,
Ga. - - Ben called me one day and told me they were unloading a load of new Plymouths and taking them out on a back road to
test them out for speed. He sent the one down that they found to be the fasted and we entered it in the Beach/Road
race that "Big Bill France" was sanctioning, which is now NASCAR
- - I don't remember how we finished, but I do remember of getting a check for $90.00 - - I brought
the car back to the lot and sold it the next day for full sticker price of around $1200.
During the following years I was active
in the car rental and sales business thruout the state. In 1968 was the president of the Miami Independent Dealers Association

Since my retirement, we've started a Unique Advertising Program
Race Car Advertising" (RCA)."
As Soon as Possible, the Goals of RCA are to "Help the Best Of Charities" with funding to help Educate Kids on the Dangers"Drugs and
Crime" (This Recognition will be on the Rear Window of the Race/Show Car - We
believe the "Human Interest Aspect" would Dignify Your Firm
I'm a member of SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) - - "www.scca.com."
- Since I joined SCCA we licensed a car to race in the "Showroom Stock" division. The class rules for this particuliar division are
that the race car must be strictly stock as it came off
of the showroom floor. The only exception is that at the beginning
of each race, a bolt in roll cage must be installed and the Artwork Done Tastefully
to meet the SCCA Regulations
The Races in this Florida Division of SCCA are on a Year
Around Schedule, and run thru-out Central Florida at Sebring,
Daytona, Orlando etc. They are Occasionally
Aired on National TV via the "Sports Channel"
Since "Race Car Advertising"
is a New Program, WE HAVE DECIDED NOT TO ACTUALLY
RACE the car At This Time, and use it Strictly as a Show and Travel
car for Advertising.
In the Near Future we'll have a car for racing, of which my son "Mike"
will drive. (picture above) He's a Consistant
Winner, Starting with Bikes at the age of 8 to Go-Karts and on to Stock Cars
HIS RACES WILL BE EXCITING
